The Mission of the St. Louis Fire Department Lifesaving Foundation is to achieve the following goals:

- Acquire Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in public buildings and aboard Fire Department emergency vehicles in the City of St. Louis.

- Encourage private businesses and other organization in St. Louis to obtain and properly place an adequate number of AEDs on their premises.
|
- Provide funding to the St. Louis Fire Department Public Access Defibrillator Program, that trains first responders in CPR and the proper use of AEDs, and also trains the trainers.
|
- Provide funding for the acquisition of lifesaving technology, protective clothing and equipment for the St. Louis Fire Department Firefighters, Paramedics and EMTs.
|
- Promote the saving of lives and physical well being of persons served by the St. Louis Fire Department.
